Apply a proposal — the diff is recomputed and compared before writing

Applies a diff produced by a propose capability.

Applies a diff produced by a propose capability. The diff is recomputed and compared against the stored one before anything is written — this is the only write path, and it refuses rather than overwrites.

A proposal is applied once. diff_stale means someone — a person or another agent — changed the target between the proposal and the apply, and applying now would silently discard their change. It is the most common refusal here, and it is a safety net, not a fault: recompute and review the fresh diff.

Publishing to an external network is never part of this. No capability declares it; it stays a human gesture.

POST/v1/proposals/{proposalId}/apply

Authorization

agent-token
AuthorizationBearer <token>

An agent project token. Obtained by OAuth consent for an AI client, or derived per project from an organisation service key for a machine. A scoped API key authenticates the transport but opens no capability: a capability takes its project from the credential.
